Treaty Week: Treaty 22 Land Claim Discussion
As part of our local commitment in Oakville, we are actively responding to the calls for action from the Truth & Reconciliation commission and in doing so, invite you and your peers to do the same.
Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation have filed a land claim in Oakville regarding Treaty 22 which includes the original lake heads for 12 Mile Creek and 16 Mile Creek, as well as the Credit River Reserves.
Please join the Oakville Partnership for Truth & Reconciliation on Wednesday, November 7th in the Black Box Theatre at Queen Elizabeth park Community and Cultural Centre as Land Claims Solicitor, Kim Fullerton discusses the Treaty 22 Land Claim and takes questions from the audience.
