Your gateway to philanthropy – Online Donations
Donations may be made online for immediate impact via The Foundation’s Fund, supporting local needs OR donate to a Fundholder’s Fund and support their passion and causes.
Our online system provides a safe and secure environment through which donors may make a donation. Select the fund from the list of available Funds and then you will be prompted through the donation process. Electronic tax receipts for donations of $20 or more will be provided by email.
Make a Gift of Securities
Give appreciated securities to eliminate capital gains tax and get an immediate tax receipt for the market value of those securities. Not only does our community benefit from the donation of publicly traded securities in kind (e.g. Canadian stocks, bonds and mutual funds) but you’ll receive both a tax exemption (related to the capital gain) and a charitable tax receipt. Please use this share transfer form and contact giving@theocf.org for information regarding the procedures involved in processing a gift of appreciated securities.
Cheque
We are pleased to accept cheques – to ensure they are appropriately directed, please ensure all cheques are made payable to The Oakville Community Foundation. Please indicate in the memo, the name of the Fund(s) you wish to support, and mail to 410 North Service Road E, Suite 200, Oakville ON L6H 5R2
