The recent motions by Oakville and Halton Councils declaring Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) an epidemic in our community triggered The Foundation to invoke the Oakville Resiliency Fund.
The Oakville Resiliency Fund currently holds $11,500. As such we are reaching out to Fundholders and donors to ask for your help to build additional funds to support the epidemic.
Following fundraising, in January 2024 all charities with a mandate to support IPV, including Halton Women’s Place, The Women’s Centre of Halton, SAVIS and Thrive Counselling, will be invited to the table to advise the Foundation on how to distribute the funds.
