GIVEOakville is back and still the best way to support local charities!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Oakville, Ont., November 14, 2025 – The annual holiday giving campaign, GIVEOakville, has opened once again with more than 65 local Oakville charities in need of the community’s support.

The GIVEOakville campaign is run by the Oakville Community Foundation through an online platform, giving community members a central place to make their donations just in time for the holidays. Other benefits include no transaction fees, donations stay local, and all donations qualify for a tax receipt. The campaign runs for three weeks from November 14 to December 8.

New this year are three unique ways to GIVE:

  • Donate by Charity – with 65+ charities to choose from, the GIVEOakville catalogue makes it possible to give to one or more charities in a single transaction.
  • Donate by Cause – make a donation to a Cause which will be distributed amongst all of the charities in that category.
  • GIVE to the GIVEOakville Fund – if you’d like to support the campaign but aren’t sure of a charity or cause to give to, donate to the GIVEOakville Fund, which will be distributed amongst all of the charities in the campaign.

Charities span causes like Arts & Culture; Children, Youth & Families; Community; Education, Employment & Economic Growth; Environment & Climate; Food Security; Health & Wellbeing; Housing & Shelter; Mental Health & Addictions; and Women & Gender Equity Initiatives.

“GIVEOakville is our favourite time of year,” said Wendy, CEO-OCF. “This annual giving campaign is about more than dollars donated; it’s about connection and uniting as a community to help each other succeed. And, The Foundation gets to introduce residents to more than 70 incredible local charities working to make Oakville a better place.”

The GIVEOakville Leadership Council has been an integral driver in readying the campaign and instrumental in engaging community members. Members include:

  • Andy Aicklen (Co-Chair)
  • Jen Zhou (Co-Chair)
  • Josh Engelbrecht
  • Jessie Nairn
