Foundation Policies
The Foundation is guided by Board approved policies for the following areas: Investment, Spending, Granting, Gift Acceptance and Unacceptable Interactions. From time to time we will post all accessible policies here.
The Board of Directors of the Oakville Community Foundation, in 2020, developed the ‘Unacceptable Interactions Policy’. The Policy provides a process to be used by Foundation Representatives when they are exposed to unacceptable interactions with Third Parties. The Policy respects the mental health and well-being of Foundation Representatives, protecting them from behaviour that conflicts with the spirit or intent of the Ontario Human Rights Code, including behaviour from donors, other volunteers and community partners. Review the policy here – Oakville Community Foundation’s Unacceptable Interactions Policy (Feb 2020)
