Ann Marie’s passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more who will remember the profound impact she had in the Oakville community.
The Tyrrell family has created the Ann Marie Tyrrell Memorial Fund to allow for Ann Marie’s loving spirit to continue to live on by helping people through difficult times in the Oakville community.
Please join the family for a visitation on Friday, November 7th, from 4 pm – 8 pm at Glen Oaks Funeral Home (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville). A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 10 am at St Volodymyr Cultural Centre (1280 Dundas Street West, Oakville), followed by a public burial at Glen Oaks Cemetery. Immediately following the burial, everyone is welcome to join in a community luncheon celebration at St Volodymyr at 12 pm (noon).
On November 8th, flags will be flown at half-mast at all Town of Oakville facilities and the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in honour of Ann Marie.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Marie—a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and devoted caregiver to many.
Born in London, England, Ann Marie initially resided in Burlington and then later made her home in Oakville for the last 34 years.
Ann Marie worked at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, where she cared deeply for hospital patients and colleagues alike. Prior to the hospital, Ann Marie was a daycare provider to dozens of children for 25 years, for whom she cared for as her own. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends and many more who will remember the profound impact Ann Marie had in the Oakville community. Ann Marie’s love, compassion and unwavering patience touched every life she encountered.
Ann Marie is survived by her loving husband Andrew, her children Andrew Jr. and Brandon, and her daughter-in-law Veronica. Ann Marie was the cherished daughter of Blossom and Willy Mahabeer and was predeceased by her father-in-law, Lloyd, and mother-in-law, Veronica. She also leaves behind her sister Marlene, brother Gerald, sister-in-law Lucy and brother-in-law Richard. Niece Mayah, and nephews Evan and Kyle, adored her dearly, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins shared her joyful spirit.
Ann Marie’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, laughter, and unwavering commitment to spreading love, kindness and positivity to everyone she encountered. She had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, and always made time to help others, which left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of meeting her. Ann Marie brought light and comfort to those who needed it most-delivering warm meals to recovering patients in the hospital and elderly members of the community during the pandemic. Through her quiet, selfless acts of kindness, she affected countless lives and reminded us all of the power of compassion.
There are no words that can express the sincere gratitude for the many dear friends in Cuba who were present on the night of her passing.
