About the Oakville Resiliency Fund
In the Spring, The Foundation established a new Fund to support those working on the Front Lines during the Pandemic.
We directed funds, working collaboratively with the Halton Granters Roundtable, and other local Community Foundations to ensure resources were targeted and not duplicated. Similarly, we participated on the Regional COVID Response Action Table, whose members include Halton Region Social Services, Housing and Public Health Departments, local municipalities, United Way and other agencies.
Throughout the Spring efforts, we identified many different types of Community Heroes – From Front-line workers, to Mental-Health, Education and Arts & Culture, and Safety and Well-Being. We continue to support those servicen and protecting our communities most vulnerable during this State of Emergency.
Fall|Winter 2020 – How Can You Help?
This Fall and Winter, Oakville Resiliency Funds will continue to go to where the needs is most in our community. We have over $1million in funding requests through our GIVEOakville Catalogue. If you’re unsure which project or organization to support, providing a donation to the Reiliency Fund, we will use these funds where we know the greatest demands are. Thank you for trusting in our stewardship and knowledge.
