The Graeme Moffat Memorial Fund

On May 16, 2007, Graeme Kenneth Moffat, a beloved son and brother lost his struggle with depression and died by suicide. Graeme was 100 days short of his 20th birthday.

In life, Graeme was an intelligent, witty, fun-loving and caring young man. It was important to Ken and Pearl Moffat and their three surviving children to find a tangible way to honour Graeme’s memory and keep his spirit of kindness and generosity alive. And so, The Graeme Moffat Memorial Fund was established.

Primary beneficiaries of the Fund include charities which support causes that have a connection to Graeme’s life. Such causes include the advancement of education, public health, economic development and poverty relief in Africa. The Fund also supports a range of mental health initiatives. The Moffat Family is very grateful for any donations made allowing continued support of these beneficiaries and commemoration of the kind and generous spirit of a truly fine young man.
