The Community Education Awards Hub is the one-stop, free, online source for students to access numerous community scholarships, bursaries and awards. Each organization has customized their award application with specific requirements – many do not focus on high academic achievement while others require very specific areas of study. Award values range from $750 – $20,000.

Are you interested in creating your own Education Award?
You can create your own scholarship, bursary or education award with the Oakville Community Foundation. Our team will help you name it, decide on an annual value and define the student eligibility through an application. When you work with the OCF, you’re tapping into the well-known Community Education Awards Hub platform for Oakville students, already featuring dozens of awards.
Award application must be approved before December 15, 2026. The amount for each award must be identified, as well as the Fund minimum, and multi-year awards must be donated upfront.
The Community Education Awards Hub opens and a press release is published with the available awards.

Selection process.
The OCF hosts an Award Ceremony to honour the students receiving a scholarship, bursary or education award. This year the ceremony will be held at Siemens Canada in Oakville. You are welcome to attend to present your award recipient(s) with their award.
Funds are transferred to the recipient’s post-secondary school.
2026 Highlights
Some of the awards offered in 2026 include:
- The Oakville Youth Education Award is a one-time scholarship awarded to up to 20 students for $2,000 each and recognizes students who demonstrate non-academic achievements. These awards have been generously matched by the Miller Family Foundation.
- The Pehar Family Mental Health Scholarship is a one-time $1,500 award given to a single student who has demonstrated a strong understanding and compassion towards supporting others who are struggling with their mental wellness.
- The Kick Start Your Education Award is a one-time award given to a single student in the amount of $1,000. The award recognizes those who demonstrate involvement, integrity, improvement and inclusion.
- The Kopriva-Robinson Family Foundation Award is a one-time $5,000 award that recognizes a single student who demonstrates non-academic excellence, including involvement, integrity, improvement and inclusion, at school, through extracurricular activities and in the community.
