The Monica Herbert Memorial Fund was created in memory of an amazing mother, Child Psychotherapist, Play Therapist, volunteer and leader. She was drawn to help people especially autistic youth.
Her impact and contribution is also memorialized by the Canadian Association of Play Therapy (CAPT) through the Monica Herbert Award which recognizes the outstanding achievements in the field of play therapy each year.
Monica also inspired people to pursue their passions in entrepreneurialism, social impact, athletics, animal advocacy and conservation.
This fund will support social impact projects and enterprises that improve the overall well-being of autistic people economically, emotionally and socially in Halton Region. The mandate of this fund will evolve and broaden to embrace other social impact projects and enterprises.
