On May 20, 2020, we said good night to our precious boy. Noah bravely fought a challenging battle with mental illness, and at the age of 17, he found rest and peace. He will forever be remembered as that kid with the big brown eyes and infectious laugh. He always had the ability to make people smile. He loved fashion and thrift shopping. He was so creative. Noah loved expressing himself in different ways and he wasn’t afraid to take risks. He loved to experience new things. Noah would often say that life was all about experiences, good or bad. Noah touched the lives of so many people. He will be forever missed. Forever loved. Forever remembered.
Beginning at an early age, Noah demonstrated genuine kindness and empathy towards others. He always rooted for the underdog, the homeless, the bullied, the marginalized. We weren’t surprised when for his birthday, in lieu of gifts, he wanted to collect food for a local food bank. Noah was always the first to help out, to comfort a friend, and to lend a sympathetic ear. As a family, we want to keep Noah’s memory and generous spirit alive. We want his short life to have meaning and purpose. He would be deeply touched and honoured to know that he can still make a difference in the lives of others.
Please join us in the creation of this legacy of kindness. The Noah Ralph-Jamieson Memorial Fund will focus on supporting charities whose overall goals speak to the spirit of what Noah valued. These would include the support of food banks, the LGBTQ+ community, animal shelters and rescues, to name a few. Each year as a family, and with your support, we will choose a special organization to be the recipient of a gift in honour of our son’s kind and generous heart.
With our love,
Kirk, Jennifer & Sarah
