It’s a business that pursues a social, cultural or environmental mission through the sale of goods and services, with the majority of net profits directed back to its mission. Some local social enterprises include Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore that resells building supplies and Community Living Oakville’s co-packaging operation, Best Pack.
