Christopher Lockwood was not the sort of person you easily forgot. He had a big personality that never failed to light up a room. Everyone loved Christopher, and he loved to share his passion for sports, especially basketball, with everyone. Christopher had just graduated, summa cum laude, from Northwood University and was planning to join in the family Automotive business. He was looking forward to coming home and working with his family. However, on August 22, 1999, in Midland Michigan, Christopher Jason Lockwood tragically lost his life. To ensure his name and memory would never fade, Christopher’s family started the Fund almost immediately after his passing. Now twenty years on, The Christopher Lockwood Fund, has made a meaningful impact on the lives of many and continues to create a powerful legacy in our community. Eventually, the Family hopes to establish a home for those in need in his honour, but in the meantime, they continue to help countless students with scholarships so they can pursue their dreams.
