Centre for Diverse Learners
EducationFundraising goal: $20,000
At CDL, thinking differently is a superpower! However, for 10% of the population, those who are diverse learners, with dyslexia, ADHD or level 1 autism, it often doesn’t feel like that. CDL provides academic programming, teaching kids to read and do math in ways that their brains understand, and providing skills to build social connections with their peers.
Over the last four years, CDL has seen a three-fold increase in families seeking programming support. Last year, we served over 1,500 children in our reading, math and social skills programs and hundreds of parents each informational workshop. The number of families seeking subsidized support has risen from 25% to 75%.
