Health charities saw some of the fastest growth in online giving during 2020, with 26% of donations going towards this area of need. Even so, 89% of these charities saw a decrease in donations and 60% saw a decrease in overall revenue.
Many of these charities also had to deal with the impacts of physical distancing requirements which limited people into hospitals, homes and treatment centres. For many of these charities, this meant losing volunteers; 64% said that they saw a decrease in volunteer numbers.
