Distress Centre Halton
Mental Health and AddictionsFundraising goal: $25,000
For nearly five decades, Distress Centre Halton has provided free, confidential phone support to help people in our communities better cope with crisis, loneliness, and emotional stress. We supported 33,622 interactions in our community last year with 17,171 Distress Line calls and 16,451 TeleCheck calls.
Children, youth, adults and seniors connect with DCH for many reasons: anxiety, depression, and stress; relationship issues; financial concerns; school or work issues; loneliness; or crisis intervention (suicide, violence, and abuse). Your help means we can continue to develop and grow our volunteers and infrastructure to be an immediate, accessible resource for the crucial and growing need for mental health support in our community.
