Intimate Partner Violence Epidemic

The recent motions by Oakville and Halton Councils declaring Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) an epidemic in our community triggered The Foundation to invoke the Oakville Resiliency Fund. More than 3,500 calls for Intimate Partner Violence were made to Halton police in 2022, a 27% increase since 2016.
This Fund supports charities with a mandate to support IPV, including: Halton Women’s Place, The Women’s Centre of Halton, SAVIS and Thrive Counselling.
