Oakville Meals on Wheels is seeking operational funding to deliver nutritious meals at a reasonable cost and/or fully subsidized to seniors, people with disabilities, those unable to leave home, critical health, or mental health issues, and the homeless people of Oakville.
Our meal menu has something for everyone. Nutritious meals are delivered with friendly visits and wellness checks by trained volunteers. Meals provide opportunities to reduce isolation and enable wellness checks. Wellness checks provide emergency responses to health issues on an average of 5 times per week, ranging from family calls for additional care due to poor health, to calling 911 for urgent life altering care.
